Statement of Faith<\/h1><\/div>

THE BIBLE<\/strong><\/u>: \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0We believe that the Bible is the verbally and plenary \u00a0inspired Word of God. It was written by men inspired by the Holy Ghost; \u00a0perfectly preserved in the churches through the Textus Receptus in the \u00a0New Testament and the Masoretic Text in the Old Testament and brought to \u00a0the English language in the Authorized Version (KJV) first translated \u00a0in 1611. The 66 books of the Bible are infallible, inerrant, sufficient \u00a0and authoritative in all areas of life and is the standard to which all \u00a0beliefs, creeds, and conduct must be measured.<\/p>

GOD: We believe that there is one triune God, eternally existing in \u00a0three persons; the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit. \u00a0Although God is manifested in three persons with three functions, the \u00a0three persons are of one essence, co-eternal in being, and co-equal in \u00a0power and glory.<\/p>

JESUS CHRIST: We believe that Jesus Christ is fully human and fully \u00a0God, two natures complete in one person. He became the physical \u00a0manifestation of the Godhead to mankind with His virgin birth. As God, \u00a0His sinless life, miracles, vicarious and atoning death through His shed \u00a0blood on the cross and His bodily resurrection is the hope of all \u00a0mankind.<\/p>

THE HOLY GHOST: We believe the Holy Spirit, the third person of the \u00a0trinity, is the Agent of conviction, regeneration, indwelling, baptism, \u00a0sanctification, and illumination of all who are born into the family of \u00a0God. Upon accepting Jesus Christ as Savior, the Holy Spirit indwells the \u00a0believer forever and is a permanent Comforter, Teacher and Guide and \u00a0empowers the believer for service for Jesus Christ.<\/p>

MAN: We believe that man was created in the image of God, for the \u00a0purpose of fellowship with God, without sin nature and innocent in front \u00a0of a Holy God. But, by voluntary transgression, he fell from that holy \u00a0and happy state, in consequence of which all men are now sinners, not by \u00a0constraint, but by choice, being by nature utterly void of that \u00a0holiness required by the law of God, positively inclined to evil with a \u00a0sin nature; and therefore under just condemnation to eternal ruin \u00a0without defense or excuse.<\/p>

SALVATION: We believe that salvation comes by faith and not of works, \u00a0lest any could boast. Only through the shed blood and mediatorial \u00a0offices of the Son of God. Who, according to the will of the Father, \u00a0assumed our nature, yet without sin, honored the Divine Law by His \u00a0personal obedience. By His shed blood our Savior made a full atonement \u00a0for our sins; that having risen from the dead, He is now enthroned in \u00a0Heaven and uniting in His wonderful person the tenderest sympathies with \u00a0divine perfection. He is every way qualified to be a suitable, a \u00a0compassionate, and an all-sufficient Savior. That salvation is available \u00a0to \u201cwhosoever will\u201d call on the name of the Lord in faith.<\/p>

JUSTIFICATION: We believe that upon acceptance of the gift of \u00a0forgiveness of sins by faith in the death, burial and resurrection of \u00a0Jesus Christ, the believer is pardoned of all sins, moved from him as \u00a0far as east is from the west. Upon this justification, the promise of \u00a0eternal life on the principles of righteousness is bestowed; not in \u00a0consideration of any works we have done, but solely through faith in the \u00a0Redeemer\u2019s blood. This brings us into a state of most blessed peace and \u00a0favor with God, and secures every other blessing needful for time and \u00a0eternity.<\/p>

SANCTIFICATION: We believe that once justified, the believer is set \u00a0aside according to the will of God to be partakers of His holiness. This \u00a0is a progressive work that is begun in regeneration and is carried on \u00a0in the hearts of believers by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, \u00a0the Sealer and Comforter, in the continual use of the appointed means. \u00a0These especially include the Word of God, self-examination, self-denial, \u00a0watchfulness and prayer.<\/p>

THE CHURCH: We believe that Christ ordained the church to carry on \u00a0His work on earth. The visible church of Christ is a congregation of \u00a0baptized believers associated by a covenant of faith and fellowship of \u00a0the Gospel; observing the ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, \u00a0and exercising the gifts, rights and privileges invested in them by His \u00a0Word. We believe that the only scriptural offices are bishops or pastors \u00a0(pastor, bishop and elder are three terms for the same office) and \u00a0deacons, whose qualifications, claims and duties are clearly defined in \u00a0the New Testament. The true mission of the church is the faithful \u00a0witnessing of Christ to all men as we have the opportunity and the \u00a0building up and edifying of the saints. We hold that the local church \u00a0has the absolute right of self-government free from the interference of \u00a0any hierarchy of individuals or organizations or governments and that \u00a0the one and only Head is Christ through the Holy Spirit.<\/p>

BAPTISM AND THE LORD\u2019S SUPPER: We believe that the two ordinances of \u00a0the church are baptism and the Lord\u2019s Supper. Baptism is accomplished \u00a0after a person accepts the free gift of salvation and is a picture of \u00a0the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, showing that the old \u00a0man has been crucified with Christ. As such, baptism must be done by \u00a0full immersion or it is an imperfect picture of a perfect act of grace. \u00a0The Lord\u2019s Supper, in which the saved, by the sacred use of bread and \u00a0wine, are to commemorate together the dying love of Christ; proceeded \u00a0always by solemn self-examination.<\/p>

HEAVEN AND HELL: We believe in Heaven as a real place and is the \u00a0eternal home of all who, by faith, accept the free gift of salvation of \u00a0Jesus Christ. We believe that Hell is also a real place, the deserved \u00a0home of all who die and will be the eternal home of all who are not \u00a0saved by accepting the free gift of redemption through Jesus Christ.<\/p>

SATAN: We believe Satan is a real being, the enemy of God and the \u00a0\u201cfather of lies.\u201d He is the great deceiver of mankind, the instigator of \u00a0all false systems of religion, and the accuser of the brethren. \u00a0Although loosed for a season, both he and his followers will ultimately \u00a0be cast into the lake of fire.<\/p>

STEWARDSHIP: We believe that God ordained tithes and offerings from \u00a0our incomes to be brought into the local church to support the ministry \u00a0of said body. We believe that all Christians have a responsibility to \u00a0God to be faithful on the first day of every week to give to His work.<\/p>

CREATION: We believe that the universe was created by God in six \u00a0literal, 24 hour periods. We reject evolution, the Gap Theory, the \u00a0Day-Age theory and Theistic evolution to try to bring long ages into \u00a0creation as unscriptural inventions.<\/p>

PERSONAL SEPARATION: We believe that we are a peculiar people, called \u00a0out of the world to live a holy life in front of our Lord and Savior. We \u00a0should exhibit both attitude and actions so as to be of good report. We \u00a0believe that practices that are questionable or which may cause another \u00a0person to stumble or may mar the testimony of Christ should be avoided. \u00a0We believe that we have been called into a life of personal separation \u00a0from all worldly and sinful practices.\u00a0<\/p>

THE SECOND COMING: We believe in \u201cthat blessed hope,\u201d the personal, \u00a0literal and visible pretribulational and premillenial return of our Lord \u00a0and Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe that the second coming will be a \u00a0two-phased event: first the rapture of the church and then the \u00a0revelation. After the rapture, there will be a seven-year period of \u00a0great tribulation on the earth followed by the return of Christ and His \u00a0saints to rule and reign on the earth for 1000 grand and glorious years, \u00a0after which the saved will be with God for eternity in the New Heaven \u00a0and the New Earth.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
